So yeah. There's that.

And now, Thanksgiving Week is upon us. *shudder*

Just kidding. I'm not too worried. Different approach, different mindset this year. Good things.

I'm still signed up for the 10K in two days. That, I'm a little more worried about. But hey. I'll go slow, pay attention to my body, and get through.

I know there are some of you that are incredibly frustrated with me. Maybe even think I'm hopeless, that I don't want to change.  There's nothing that I can say that will change your opinion of me and what i'm doing, so i'm not going to bother. I just wanted to acknowledge that I know you're there. Thanks for hanging around anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving, kids. Make good choices. Win the (turkey) day. That's my goal, too.

:)

I really don't think you should do these 5Ks, especially not these 10Ks, sans training, sans physical ability. You're eventually just going to hurt yourself. :-/

For what its worth...

You are doing wonderful, Dave. If you tried to take it faster, you wouldn't be able to change your daily routine and it wouldn't change the long term.

I know you know that, but I'm just reminding you that you're doing awesome.

WIN THE TURKEY DAY! Cue Eye of the Tiger...

I believe in you!

Jaimie, this is the last one i'm doing until the spring. I agree, I don't want to push it. I'm gonna take the one tomorrow really easy, and if anything goes wrong, i'll drop out and ride the sweeper car back to the finish line. Thanks for being the voice of reason. I do appreciate it.

Thanks, Sherri.

Yeah. Sherri raises a good point about how lasting change happens slowly. It took me 1-2 years to lose 30 pounds, and then another 2 years to get to where I am now. You know, actually eating fruits and vegetables.
